Home Burial
Pet buried on own property, Costs: $0
Considerations: Check with your local official regarding any city ordinances that might prevent you from doing this.
Cremation
Typical Costs:
Small Birds $55
Pets under 20 lbs $100
Pets 20-40 lbs $125
Pets 40-70lbs $135
Pets 70-90lbs $185
Pets over 100lbs $200 +
Considerations: Mass cremation of the pet can reduce the cost to about 1/3 of the individual cost. The ashes are then scattered in the cemetery. Witnessed Cremation (additional costs);
Owner can witness the pet being placed in the crematory through packaging. Private Cremation
Typically $200; Instead of being separated by compartments, the pet is in the crematory by itself.
Urn Buried in Pet Cemetery, typically $300 + cost of Urn
Urn Buried at Home or Privately Kept, Cost of Urn added. Some crematory’s include a metal or wood urn.
Ashes Scattered, No additional cost
Animal Pickup: Price ranges from $45-$60 depending on whether it is residential, at a veterinary office or after-hours.
Pet Cemetery Burial
Lawn Space, typical costs:
Small - 20lbs $500
Medium- 40lbs $550
Large- 70 lbs $630
X-Large- 100lbs+ $730
Casket, Small, Medium $90 +, Large $120 +, X-Large $145 +,
Minimal cost is based on a pine box. The cost goes up from there depending on the customization.
Marker
Small Granite Marker is included. Can purchase a customized one for owner’s preference.
Animal Pickup
Price ranges from $45-$60. Some offer pickup included in their price.
Horse Burial
Pasture Burial might include renting of a backhoe to dig out burial site. Typical costs are $200+, horse removal, wrappings, etc. Any grave markers are at owner’s discretion. Typically need to bury the body about 6ft below the surface.
